Rules

The rules that keep Lich Party fun and fair for everyone.

Lich Party is a small, free server run by volunteers. These rules exist so everyone can have a good time. By creating an account you agree to follow them. Not knowing a rule doesn't exempt you from it.

1. Community

  1. Be respectful. Treat other players and staff the way you'd like to be treated. Disagreements happen: take them to private messages, not public channels.
  2. No hate speech. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, threats and harassment are not tolerated, in game, on the website or on Discord.
  3. Keep it clean. No NSFW content, no spam and no advertising other servers or services.
  4. Names. Character and guild names must not be offensive or impersonate staff. Staff may rename anything that breaks this rule.
  5. Don't impersonate staff. Our team will never ask for your password.

2. Fair play

  1. No cheating. Bots, hacks, speed or teleport tools, wall-climbing, automated scripts and any program that plays for you are forbidden.
  2. No exploiting. If you find a bug, duplication method or broken mechanic, report it to staff on Discord. Knowingly abusing it is treated as cheating. Reporting serious bugs is appreciated.
  3. Addons are fine as long as they don't automate gameplay.
  4. Allowed clients: an unmodified 3.3.5a (12340) client, the Large Address Aware "4GB" patch and the community 64-bit build from wowdecomp. Client modifications that give a gameplay advantage are not allowed.
  5. Loot. Don't roll Need on items your class or spec can't use, and don't ninja-loot. Group leaders may set their own loot rules; respect them.

3. PvE realm

Lich Party is a PvE realm with 1x rates. The journey matters here, so let new players enjoy it.

  1. Don't grief low-level players. Tricking players into PvP (for example by flagging near them or luring guards), camping their corpse or ruining starting zones is forbidden.
  2. Don't block the world. Standing on quest NPCs, flight masters, mailboxes or bankers to annoy others, or kill-stealing on purpose, counts as griefing.
  3. Battlegrounds and arenas: play to participate. Going AFK, leeching honor, win-trading or hiding in unreachable spots is not allowed.

4. Accounts & multiboxing

  1. Your account, your responsibility. Anything done on your account counts as done by you, even if someone else was playing. Use a unique password.
  2. Up to 3 accounts online at once. Each character must be controlled manually. Keystroke broadcasting software (ISBoxer, AutoHotkey scripts and similar) is forbidden.
  3. One character in PvP. In battlegrounds, arenas, Wintergrasp or while flagged for PvP, you may only have one character logged in.
  4. Single players first. If someone playing a single character asks you to leave a farming spot or rare spawn you're multiboxing, move on.
  5. No multiboxing in the Dungeon Finder.

5. Real money

Lich Party is free and will stay that way: there's no shop and nothing to buy.

  1. Selling or buying accounts, characters, gold, items or services (like boosts) for real money or anything outside the game is forbidden.
  2. Trading accounts or characters between players, for anything, is also not allowed.

6. Enforcement

  1. Depending on severity, staff may give a warning, mute, rename, temporary ban or permanent ban. Cheating, botting and real-money trading go straight to a permanent ban of all your accounts.
  2. These rules can't cover every situation. Staff may act against clearly harmful behavior even if it isn't listed here.
  3. Think a decision was wrong? Talk to staff privately on our Discord. Arguing in public channels won't help your case.
  4. Rules may change over time. Important changes will be announced in the news.
